Dan came to Tenkuujo at the age of 12 and was chosen as HibaOh at the age of 14. Dan is the most bad-tempered of the lot. He is stubborn, hard-headed, and can sometimes be a bully. He's very strong and likes to fight in order to show off his strength. However, he is obsessively devoted to Vishnu. When he was 14, Vishnu caught him bullying some of the weaker soldiers. She told his he should use his strength to protect people rather than hurt people. She gave him her pendant and told him to hold it and think of what she said whenever he felt like beating someone up. He's carried the pendant with him ever since.

Dan's techniques:

• Hiba Gekishinha (Hiba Anger Earthquake), which causes a shockwave that turns everything around it to rubble
• Hiba Ryusakou (Hiba Quicksand), which literally melts the ground beneath it, swallowing up its target like quicksand

Dan has four older brothers.
